Bangalore at Night

Somehow, even with as crazy as the days have been here (evident by my lack of updating), sitting and watching Bangalore at night is so peaceful and calming. Yes, it's 1:30am here and I am still up. I could sit and stare out the open window all night.

The first couple of days in the office have been very long and very tiring. There is so much to do and a month, though a long time in some aspects, is not that long to train 3 new people. Especially when I have my own work to get done and have to live on other people's schedules. (which is a frustrating thing to do even when I am not stressed out!) I know after a few days things will calm down.. as much as they can in a city like Bangalore anyway :)

The one thing I do have to mention is the security. As much as I understand why they have put so many changes into place, (every hotel now has a metal detector & security you must pass through to enter) it's extremely frustrating to watch a flawed system. If you are going to do it, do it right. I sat at breakfast this morning and watched the security guard stop everyone that came in and go through their bags. Then two minutes later, I look down and the security guard is gone, no where to be found. A few minutes later he returned.. but not before at least 5 people had entered the building... it defiantly makes you wonder. It's hard to watch a city you fell in love with change so much in 6 short months.

That's really all I have to say for now, my brain is already starting to shut down :)
Good Night

Landed and settled in!

Ok, that was probably the most uneventful flight/trip I have ever had! We only encountered a strange old british woman who was pissed someone put something in her overhead bin and refused to let ANYONE help her, and an Indian Customs person who asked if i was Christina's daughter :)

The flight was a little bumpy, but I'm getting used to that now. I have unpacked all my stuff and settled in already. The rooms are a little smaller, but cute and cozy. Though I am having issues with the lights, I took a nap and it took me a good 20 minutes to figure out how to turn out all the lights! Sitting here now, I count 13 lights! That's just crazy!

I didn't even venture outside today, only from the airport to the hotel and it was early morning so it was still cool out. I have to figure out what to wear to work tomorrow!

I will be updating as much as I can as I said before. I have to grab some pictures off the camera and I will post them tomorrow :)

And we're back!

I am leaving in about 30 hours for Bangalore for a month this time! It is both thrilling and completely terrifying at the same time because I have a million things going on that have to keep going while I am gone!

Though I can not promise a blog everyday, I will do my best to keep you all informed with where I am and what I am up to. And of course posting pictures as much as I can!

Hope you all enjoy! I will see you again soon!
